The FBI confirms that Colt Gray, the suspect in the deadly shooting at Apalachee High School, was behind threats to commit a school shooting in May 2023.
Jackson County Sheriff authorities were made aware of the threats made to an online gaming site, and interviewed a 13-year-old and his father.
The boy denied making the threats and investigators determined that the threats could not be substantiated.
The FBI confirmed that the 13-year-old involved in that investigation was Gray.
Four people are dead, including two students and two teachers, and another nine were injured in the shooting at Apalachee High School. The FBI identified the suspected shooter as 14-year-old Colt Gray. School will be closed for the remainder of the week.
Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia is located about 40 miles northeast of Atlanta.
