High-ranking Israeli officials say there is a “high likelihood” that Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar has been found dead amid a Gaza operation that eliminated three terrorists.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet (ISA) released a statement Thursday that confirmed they may have found his body after an operation.

Sinwar was the mastermind behind the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel that killed 1200 people. More than 250 hostages were taken at the time with more than 100 of those still in captivity more than a year later.

Enia Krivine at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow to discuss the significance, if confirmed, of Sinwar’s death amid the Gaza war and whether it could impact a retaliatory strike by Israel on Iran.
