During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden took a shot at former President Trump and his supporters.
"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," Biden said. "[Trump's] demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and it is un-American."
Biden's administration was quick to point out that he was referring to the "hateful rhetoric" about Puerto Rico, while Trump supporters were quick to call Biden's remarks disparaging.
