as posted by the channelFox News reports gunshots were fired at Tuskegee University's 100th homecoming. A spokesperson for the Alabama university, confirmed that a shooting occurred on campus early Sunday morning which, "resulted in the death of a non-university individual. University officials say parents have been notified of the shooting. 16 others were hurt, 12 of them wounded by gunfire. No arrests have been made at this time.
Several other students were hurt after receiving treatment at East Alabama Medical Center, according to Fox News. "The parents of this individual have been notified. Several others including Tuskegee University students were injured and are receiving treatment at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika and Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery," a University official said.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in a Sunday afternoon update. The FBI joined the investigation and said it is seeking tips from the public, as well as any video witnesses to help with the case.
