13:23Now PlayingThe New York City Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to LiveNOW from FOX that a man is in critical condition on Saturday after police responded to a report of a person on fire inside New York City’s Penn Station, the busiest transportation facility in the country.
NYPD said officers responded around 8PM ET to a man on fire and found a 67-year-old man with burn injuries to both legs and his upper body. He was rushed to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be life-threatening, according to officials on the scene.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
This comes days after a sleeping woman was set on fire in a Brooklyn subway. Her accused killer, Sebastian Zapeta was indicted by a Brooklyn grand jury on charges of murder and arson.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has urged the feds to file federal charges against the Guatemalan native, who Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirms was in the country illegally.
