2:38Now PlayingNYPD says a suspect has been arrested after a man was pushed onto the subway tracks near Chelsea Tuesday afternoon. The suspect, 23-year-old Kamel Hawkins, has been charged with second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault. The victim, a 45-year-old man, was shoved onto the subway tracks at the 18th Street station Hein Chelsea at around 1:30 p.m. He was struck by a southbound No. 1 train, and rushed to Bellvue Hospital by first responders in critical but stable condition. Authorities say that at this time, they believe the attack was random.
