2:36Now PlayingAfter the rescue of American hostage, Marc Fogel from Russia on Tuesday, another is expected to be released later Wednesday, but specific details have not been disclosed.
Adam Boehler, the US Special Envoy for Hostages told FOX News that "we expect another one, Wednesday," referring to another American hostage elsewhere; however, Boehler added, "I can't release until the person is released. Obviously, it could endanger a hostage release and that I can't do."
Boehler made the statement as he and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio joined Sean Hannity over the phone on FOX News.
The announcement came hours after President Donald Trump secured the release of American schoolteacher Marc Fogel, who was serving a 14 year prison sentence in Russia following his arrest in August 2021. The US labeled Fogel as "wrongfully detained."
President Trump has not said if he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin about Fogel's release, but Fogel praised Putin, describing him as "very generous and statesmanlike in granting me a pardon."
Trump described the terms of the deal as "very fair" and "very reasonable."
The Kremlin responded Wednesday and said a Russian citizen had been freed in exchange for Fogel, but did not disclose a name.
