41:39Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi on Thursday at the White House.
During the joint remarks, Modi said the United States and India have set a target of doubling their bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030. Modi also highlighted India's growing collaboration with NASA and plans to boost investment in energy infrastructure.
President Trump also praised Modi during the question and answer portion of the press conference.
"He is a much tougher negotiator than me and he is a much better negotiator than me," Trump said. "There is not even a contest."
President Trump hosted India’s prime minister at the White House on Thursday after he signed another round of executive orders.
Prime Minister Modi, a nationalist who boasts a good relationship with Trump, said the visit is a chance to "deepen our partnership" in key areas like technology, trade, defense and energy.
Modi is the fourth foreign leader to visit Trump since his inauguration last month. He follows Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.
