Federal prosecutors subpoenaed at least two hotels in New York City, looking to find out information on any migrants the city may be housing. Sources told FOX 5 NY the subpoenas were sent directly to the hotels instead of NYC agencies.
Back in February, Mayor Eric Adams announced the closure of an immigrant center at Roosevelt Hotel. Shortly after, the DOJ pushed to drop a federal corruption probe into his administration.
