3:49Now PlayingHamas says it has 'lost contact' with U.S.-Israeli hostage
YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHamas said it has 'lost contact' with the group of fighters holding U.S-Israel hostage Edan Alexander following an Israeli strike in Gaza over the weekend. Twenty one-year-old Alexander was believed to be the only remaining U.S. citizen being held hostage still alive. The announcement comes after Israel's 45-day ceasefire proposal put forward last week was rejected by Hamas. Releasing Alexander was part of that proposal.
Hamas had released a video of Alexander alive on Saturday, the eve of Passover, prior to the strike. In the video, he asks Israeil Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump to negotiate his release. Thirty three hostages were released earlier this year as part of a previous two-month ceasefire.
