President Trump signed bills relating to ending Biden-era regulations. The bills signed in the Oval Office on Friday specifically targeted conservation standards of water heaters, walk-in freezers, household appliances and other consumer products. He was joined by multiple members of his administration and Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL).
"Common sense, it's all about common sense," President Trump said.
While taking questions from reporters, President Trump was asked about tariffs and if exceptions are possible.
“I mean, there could be an exception," Trump said. "At some point we'll see somebody does something exceptional for us. That's always possible. But basically you have a baseline of a minimum of 10%. And some of them will be much higher 40%, 50%, 60%”
President Trump also commented on New York City Mayor Eric Adam's visit to the White House.
"He just came in to say hello," Trump said about Adams' visit.
