20:45Now PlayingCivil right attorney Ben Crump has filed another lawsuit over the deadly Los Angeles wildfires in January.
Crump announced the lawsuit in California with family members of people killed in the fires. At least 16 people lost their lives in the fire that erupted on January 7th.
Crump and other attorneys are filing lawsuits against Southern California Edison, blaming the utility company for failing to prevent the devastating wildfires.
Southern California Edison issued the following statement when the lawsuit were first filed:
"Our hearts remain with our communities during the devastating fires in Southern California, and we remain committed to supporting them through this difficult time. SCE understands that lawsuits related to the Eaton Fire have been filed. SCE will review them. The cause of the fire continues to be under investigation."
