Seattle Police posted on X: "Seattle police are investigating an officer involved shooting near the 3200 block of East Madison Street. Police are actively searching for suspect. Please avoid the area. More information to follow."

FOX 13 Seattle reports: "When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman in the front yard of a home. Police said the woman had a gunshot wound, and ran to an officer's arms and collapsed."

Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes said two officers started life-saving measures on the woman involved in the incident, when suddenly shots were then fired at officers from the home.

According to officials, one officer fired back while two others retreated with the victim. The woman was transported to a local hospital.
