Idaho student murders suspect Bryan Kohberger has accepted a plea deal to spare his life in exchange for a guilty plea in the murders of four University of Idaho students, two sources close to the case told Fox News Digital.
Debate has been underway in the Senate late into the night, with Republicans wrestling President Donald Trump’s big bill of tax breaks and spending cuts over mounting Democratic opposition — and even some brake-pumping over the budget slashing by the president himself.
The outcome from the weekend of work in the Senate remains uncertain and highly volatile, and overnight voting has been pushed off until Monday. GOP leaders are rushing to meet Trump’s Fourth of July deadline to pass the package, but they barely secured enough support to muscle it past a procedural Saturday night hurdle in a tense scene. A handful of Republican holdouts revolted, and it took phone calls from Trump and a visit from Vice President JD Vance to keep it on track.
Russia launched its biggest aerial attack against Ukraine overnight, a Ukrainian official said Sunday, part of an escalating bombing campaign that has further dashed hopes for a breakthrough in efforts to end the 3-year-old war.
Russia fired a total of 537 aerial weapons at Ukraine, including 477 drones and decoys and 60 missiles, Ukraine’s air force said. Of these, 249 were shot down and 226 were lost, likely having been electronically jammed.
DIDDY TRIAL UPDATES:
Jurors began deliberating in Diddy's sex trafficking trial. The jury went behind closed doors to deliberate after receiving legal instructions from the judge. Since his arrest at a Manhattan hotel last September, Combs and his legal team have maintained his innocence.
The jury sent two notes to the court throughout the five and a half hours of deliberations. The first note from the jury claimed one juror could not follow Judge Arun Subramanian's instructions.
The judge said the note from the jury foreperson reads, "We have a juror, Juror 25, who we believe cannot follow your honor's instructions," and the foreperson wanted to meet with the judge about it.
The second note was submitted right before the end of the court day, the jury asked for clarification regarding the alleged distribution of drugs.
