10:31Now PlayingFive soldiers were shot Wednesday at Georgia's Fort Stewart Army post. The soldiers are said to be stable and are expected to survive. The suspect has been identified as Sgt. Quornelius Radford. Officials said the shooting victims worked with Radford.
Officials said they believe Radford used a personal handgun to shoot his co-workers, but they wouldn't speculate on any motives.
Radford had no known disciplinary action in the Army, but officials said they learned he had been arrested for a DUI after the shooting.
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump addressed the shooting before a scheduled event.
Trump said the Army is investigating and officials will make sure Radford is punished to "the fullest extent of the law."
"The entire nation is praying for the victims and their, and hopefully they'll fully recover, and we can put this chapter behind, but we're not going to forget what happened," Trump said.
