"Today, Rachel Morin’s killer was sentenced to life without parole for her brutal murder. This criminal illegal alien should have never been in our country in the first place. Rachel should still be here watching her 5 children grow up," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement.
The illegal immigrant from El Salvador entered the United States in 2023, he was eventually arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in June 2024.
"Unfortunately, Rachel’s story is not an isolated tragedy. She is one of many victims across our state and country who suffered at the hands of individuals who should never have been here because of the failures of the Biden administration," Patty Morin, Rachel’s mother, wrote in an opinion piece for Fox News in April.
