9:08Now PlayingInflation increased in July, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.2% in July compared with last month, while it was up 2.7% from a year ago.
Seattle, Washington is the worst city in the country when it comes to inflation, according to WalletHub. Other cities with major inflation issues include: San Diego, CA, Tampa, FL, St. Louis, MO, and New York City.
To determine how inflation is impacting people in different parts of the country, WalletHub compared 23 major MSAs (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) across two key metrics related to the Consumer Price Index, which measures inflation.
The major metropolitan areas handling inflation the best include: the Dallas-Forth Worth area, Phoenix, AZ, Honolulu, HI, Anchorage, AK, and the San Francisco-Oakland area in California.
