21:40:39Now PlayingUS President Donald Trump met Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska for a face-to-face meeting on a potential end to the war with Ukraine. Trump called the meeting a 10 out of 10 and said Russia and Ukraine will skip a ceasefire and move right to a peace agreement. Following that summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will travel to the White House on Monday for an in-person talk with Trump and his administration on the next steps and whether a trilateral meeting is possible.
Hurricane Erin has weakened to a Category 3, still a major hurricane, after reaching Category 5 status on Saturday. The storm is slamming parts of the Caribbean, including the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The National Hurricane Center is providing updates.
Air Canada said it has now suspended plans to restart operations on Sunday. This comes after the union representing 10,000 flight attendants said it will defy a return to work order. It’s already the height of the summer travel season for many around the world.
