This comes as Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, the co-founder of the Sinaloa cartel, is set to face the rest of his life behind bars. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is learning more from Ilan Katz, a Mexico City based Attorney, as the Trump administration ramps up its efforts to dismantle these cartels.
Zambada, 75, said in a courtroom on Monday that he had coordinated with Mexican officials to smuggle drugs into the U.S. for decades and served as principal leader of a continuing criminal enterprise and racketeering conspiracy.
We are also learning more on how Mexico’s senate turned to violence this week as two of the country’s leading politicians fought one another after a heated debate over foreign troops.
