as posted by the channelThe gunman who opened fire at a Minneapolis Catholic School fired 116 rifle rounds through the church's stained-glass windows, according to acting US Attorney Joe Thompson. He said the videos and writings left behind by the shooter showed "hate towards almost every group imaginable."
Police Chief Brian O'Hara added that the shooter, who went by Robin Westman had a "deranged fascination" with mass killings and appeared to strive for notoriety.
Family members identified the two children killed in the attack 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel and 10-year-old Harper Moyski. More than a dozen of their schoolmates were injured as gunfire erupted during a mass.
Chief O'Hara said surveillance video captured the attack during the first week of classes, showing the shooter never entered the church and could not see the children while firing through the window.
Fifteen children between the ages of 6 and 15 were injured, along with three parishioners in their 80s, according to city officials. One child remained in critical condition.
O’Hara explained the shooter was armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol, and died by suicide.
