as posted by the channelFormer New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is facing a Level 5 felony charge of battery causing serious injury following an altercation with a 69-year-old grease truck driver.
The charges were upgraded Monday after prosecutors reviewed the extent of the victim’s injuries and considered his age.
Sanchez, in Indianapolis to cover the Colts-Raiders game for Fox Sports, was stabbed multiple times in the chest during the early-morning incident Saturday and was hospitalized in critical condition. His condition has since stabilized. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the brawl outside a local bar.
