34:17Now PlayingProtests continued outside of the ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois on Saturday night, and at moments the protesters clashed with law enforcement. This comes after a federal judged ordered U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to take down a fence outside its processing center in Broadview, siding with local officials who said it was built illegally.
There have been multiple protests in Broadview, at moments getting contentious, since President Donald Trump called for an increase in immigration enforcement in the Chicago area in recent weeks. Trump ordered National Guard troops to Chicago to assist in curbing violence and help ICE officers, but the order was temporarily blocked by a federal judge. The Trump administration is appealing that decision.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) have been outspoken critics of the Trump administration's "unlawful and unconstitutional deployment of military troops" to the state.
