Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump has announced federal law enforcement could be setting its eyes on San Francisco. This news came during a press conference where FBI Director Kash Patel announced "Operation Summer Heat," which the FBI created to target violent criminals. "These are great cities that could be fixed," President Trump said. "Every American deserves to live in a community where they're not afraid of being mugged, murdered, robbed, raped, assaulted, or shot."
We are learning more after multiple reporters turned in access badges and exited the Pentagon on Wednesday. They did so rather than agree to government-imposed restrictions on their work. Leadership in the United States has called the new rules "common sense" to help regulate a "very disruptive" press.
President Trump also hosted a ballroom dinner at White House on Wednesday evening. The dinner is being described as a "Legacy Dinner" to raise funds for the ballroom construction project. During his remarks, President Trump opened the curtains to show off the ongoing construction of the new ballroom. More than three dozen organizations and individuals were in attendance after donating to support the $250 million project.
