as posted by the channelTransportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced airspace restrictions as the ongoing federal government shutdown continues to impact the nation’s transportation system.
The FAA announced a 10% reduction in airline traffic in 40 markets to maintain safety during ongoing government shutdown.
"One of them, though, is going to be that there is going to be a 10% reduction in capacity at 40 of our locations," Duffy told reporters.
The restrictions will go into effect on Friday. It will impact roughly 4,000 flights nationwide.
The federal government has been closed since Oct. 1, significantly disrupting multiple sectors, including air travel.
