"You know why the refuse to cover it? Because they're fake news, that's why," Trump said.
BACKSTORY:
President Trump on Wednesday praised the nation's largest private employer, Walmart, for its discounted Thanksgiving meal.
"Walmart just announced that the cost of their standard Thanksgiving meal... is 25% lower than one year ago. Isn't that great? That's a big deal," Trump said during a speech at the America Business Forum.
However, user on the platform X pointed out that the 2025 Walmart Thanksgiving meal contains 15 items while the 2024 meal contained 21 items. Additionally, most of the brand name items in the 2024 meal were replaced with Great Value items.
