7:43Now PlayingWe are learning more after reports from the Associated Press that say the Pentagon is investigating Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) for possibly breaching military law. According to the AP, the investigation came about after Sen. Kelly joined five other Democratic lawmakers in a video, where they told members of the military that they can "refuse illegal orders." LiveNOW’s Mike Pache is speaking with Defense Reporter Mike Brest from the Washington Examiner after both Sen. Kelly and Arizona's other Democratic senator, Ruben Gallego, responded to the Pentagon's announcement.
"Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death," read a portion of Sen. Kelly's post on social media. "If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution."
