as posted by the channelFlash flood warnings were in effect on Christmas Eve morning for portions of southwestern California, including Los Angeles (LA) County as a powerful storm moved onshore, fueled by an atmospheric river.
This could be the wettest Christmas Eve to Christmas Day on record for Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, such as Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.
The National Weather Service anticipates the chance for extreme rainfall and flooding, as well as high winds. Evacuation orders have already been put in place.
