as posted by the channelWe are getting the latest information tonight as a San Jose police sergeant is in critical but stable condition, and a suspect is dead after a multi-county chase tied to a carjacking on Wednesday afternoon. This information is coming to us from our partners at FOX 2 San Francisco and from police in San Jose. LiveNOW’s Austin Westfall is getting more information from law enforcement officials on the ground in California as we learn that the Hollister Police Department reported officers and San Benito County deputies were engaged in a pursuit involving gunfire in the afternoon.
The suspect fled and was later located near Buena Vista Road and Line Street, where sheriff’s deputies also exchanged gunfire with the suspect. Deputies were unharmed.
