"Today, we're launching what will be known as Project Vault to ensure that American businesses and workers are never harmed by any shortage," Trump said during an event at the White House. According to early reports, the Trump administration’s initiative will combine $10 billion in financing and $2 billion from the private sector. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and the Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent spoke alongside Trump inside the Oval Office.
President Trump also took time to answer questions from the media, including some about the possibility of federal law enforcement starting to wear bodycams in Minneapolis and what he thought of the 2026 Grammy Awards.
