Hillary Clinton testified today to the House Oversight Committee as part of a congressional investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The former Secretary of State repeated demands that reporters be allowed into her deposition after Benny Johnson, a right-wing YouTuber, posted a photo of Clinton during the deposition online. Clinton was asked about the possibility for a future public hearing after Johnson said the photo was provided by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert.

We are learning more as U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson said he would not leap to conclusions about U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales' sexting scandal with an ex-staffer. This comes even as the Texas Republican faces calls to resign. "I've said to him publicly and privately, he's got to address that directly and head on with his constituents," Johnson said. "There's a primary there in less than a week and these things will play out."

We are now hearing reports from at least one US official that says at least one American citizen was shot dead by Cuban officials who were said to be intercepting a speedboat off its coast on Wednesday. Four people were fatally shot by border guards on the Florida-registered boat, which also resulted in injuries to six other people aboard. Secretary of State Marco Rubio previously said the U.S. is working to determine whether the passengers were American citizens or permanent residents.
