We are now learning that President Donald Trump will sign an emergency order advising Homeland Security to immediately pay Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents. This comes as Congress continues to battle over a deal to end a budget impasse that has clogged airports and left employees working without pay. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac has the latest after Trump announced that it “is not an easy thing to do, but I am going to do it!"
"Because the Democrats have recklessly created a true National Crisis, I am using my authorities under the Law to protect our Great Country," Trump wrote. "Therefore, I am going to sign an Order … to immediately pay our TSA Agents in order to address this Emergency Situation."
Nicolás Maduro, the former leader of Venezuela captured by the US earlier this year, appeared in federal court on Thursday for a pre-trial hearing. He and his wife, Cilia Flores, were being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Maduro faces four federal charges, including narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy and weapons-related offenses.
