Brush Fire Scorches 87 Acres, Disrupts Traffic on Interstate 10
A fast-moving brush fire burned approximately 87 acres on Friday, prompting a significant emergency response and causing major traffic delays along Interstate 10 near Cherry Valley Boulevard.
The fire spread rapidly, threatening nearby structures and leading authorities to deploy both ground and aerial firefighting resources to contain the blaze. Fire crews remain on scene working to prevent further spread and protect homes and other buildings in the area.
The incident caused substantial backups in both directions of the 10 Freeway as emergency personnel and equipment responded to the scene. Motorists were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while firefighters continued suppression efforts.
