as posted by the channelOn October 27th 2021 I was conducting a 1st Amendment Audit at the City Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Everything was going great until I was approached by a City Hall employee named Tom. He informed me that they didn’t allow filming in City Hall because it was not “appropriate”
The Allentown Police were called and besides one officer who didn’t want to identify herself I thought they did a pretty decent job. My rights weren’t violated and they left without incident.
As I was about to leave, I ran into the Assistant Chief Of Police as well as the Chief Charles Roca, I had a great conversation with both of them and I felt like our dialogue really helped, even if only a little, bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public they are charged to serve and protect.
