Here I tell the hilarious tale of a customer that turned down our estimate for motherboard repair. They go to the cheaper person, who has no clue what to do - then the cheaper guy CALLS ME TO ASK HOW I FIXED THE BOARD FOR MY ESTIMATE.
Yes, let me repeat that - after doing a free estimate, and not getting paid, said customer wanted me to EXPLAIN TO THE CHEAPER TECHNICIAN HOW TO DO THE JOB.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
I'm happy to OFFER to help you for free - but don't ASK me for shit. The same is true in my personal life - I would rather date someone who I OFFER a $200 night out to, than someone who ASKS for my credit card to buy $3 worth of something.
I know what I am doing, and I am happy to share information I have with the world - with competitors, trainees, and the general pubic. However, don't for a second get into your head that it is REQUIRED that I teach you, much less the person *directly*undercutting*me* how to do **THEIR** **JOB**
Biggie's song The What gets this point across well. F the world, don't ask me for shit. Everything you want you got to work hard for it. Here, shit is a schematic & board diagram for an 820-2530 & directions on repairing it for technicians who will be profiting off a repair I am apparently required to lay out for them.
