Here I discuss the design aspects of the older vs the newer Thinkpads, from an unbiased standpoint. I am not a curmudgeon, nor am I someone who is always out to keep up with the Jones. I like what works, and here I will discuss what does not.

In the end, as miserable as the t440p keyboard/trackpad was, I wound up going for it. I fell in love with the sturdiness of the keyboard and the clarity of the screen. Looking at the old screen after looking at the t440p screen just made me sad, as someone who reads a lot of small repetitive text day in and day out.

Also, it seems like Lenovo might just change everything around: please convince them to do so, see my video on their newest blog post referencing returning to standard design!
