Hello, my name is __________ and I live in _________ and I'm a constituent. I fix electronics, and unless we remove barriers to repair, businesses like mine won't be here to fix all your stuff. This is urgent. We need Digital Right to Repair, Senate Bill 166, to move forward in Committee - and hope you can ask Chair Sue Moran to advance this legislation to protect shops like mine.
Apple is getting close to software locking out many common repairs, and other companies will surely follow unless we stand up. If the parts are all locked in a device there will be no repairs without the manufacturers software tools. With momentum building for Right to Repair now is our chance to make progress.
