On September 13, 2024, Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia was pronounced dead at UMass Worcester after suffering what has been described as a "medical crisis" during a boxing training exercise at the Massachusetts State Police Academy. His family later revealed that he sustained severe injuries, including a broken neck, shattered teeth, a fractured ankle, and a broken nose. The truth is, these injuries are NOT consistent with a typical "boxing training exercise"—THIS WAS A BEATING.
The Delgado-Garcia family is grieving profoundly, and they, along with the people of Massachusetts, deserve answers. That’s why we are calling on Governor Maura Healey, Attorney General Andrea Campbell, and the newly appointed Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble of the Massachusetts State Police to provide a public update and statement about the circumstances surrounding Trooper Delgado-Garcia’s death. It’s time for those in positions of authority to be transparent. I will continue to fight for the Delgado-Garcia family until they get the answers they deserve.
