as posted by the channelOn August 5th, midway through a Groton, CT council meeting, Mayor Rachael Franco addressed the room as Sean from Long Island Audit and other citizens protested Sean’s unlawful July 11th arrest following his encounter with Brian “Coptuah” Fahey. During that meeting, Mayor Franco claimed Councilwoman Rusk had found spit on her chair before sitting down. I knew this was a bullshit claim so I FOIA the chamber's security footage to review.
Since obtaining and reviewing the chamber’s security footage, it proves both the Mayor’s statement and Rusk’s claim were a lie. At no time did Sean or anyone from his group enter the secured area or spit on any chair. The only people who crossed into that section were a Groton police officer and Town Manager John Burt before the meeting started.
The Mayor and Councilwomen Rusk owe the world an explanation and apology for their lies.
