Who Are The Statists?

Most humans are a mixture of different types of beliefs, values and political ideologies from time to time on certain issues. We as Americans live in what’s titled a “constitutional republic” but we also practice forms of socialism in our police, fire and education departments. All forms of charity and giving also fit a form of socialism, but we generally agree that forms of giving NOT by force or theft are good. So in order for us to see what we want, we look at what we do not like. We learn by contrast.

With that being said, it’s very important to base what we call something or someone, based on their ACTIONS, not just what they identify as. It allows clarity in determining who we support politically, financially and socially. Everyone is free to be whatever they choose, but some call ourselves the opposite of what our actions showcase us to be. Words, terms and titles have definitions, here’s the definitions of some titles that some seem to confuse a bit.

Conservatism:

Disposition in politics to preserve what is established.

A political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change

specifically.

Such a philosophy calling for lower taxes, limited government regulation of business and investing, a strong national defense, and individual financial responsibility for personal needs (such as retirement income or health-care coverage)

Statism:

Concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government often extending to government ownership of industry.

People can be whatever they choose in a free society, it’s much more beneficial for us to decide who we are going to align with, should you choose to align with anyone, when we know what they are, based on ACTIONS and clear DEFINITIONS. Some of us may even believe ourselves to be something that we currently are not, having clearly defined understandings also help those find their way a bit better. Evaluate the actions of folks and compare that to their self described definitions and you’ll have a much better picture of who they currently are and where they may be on their way too.
