Minnesota lawmakers have introduced Minnesota Senate File 4290, a proposed gun control bill sponsored by Matt Klein and co-sponsored by Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger. The legislation would ban certain semi-automatic firearms going forward and restrict magazines over 10 rounds.
Current owners could keep their firearms only if they register them, obtain a certificate of ownership, follow strict storage rules, and agree to allow law enforcement to inspect their homes to verify compliance.
In this video, we break down what the bill actually says, what it could mean for gun owners, and why critics argue it raises serious concerns about privacy, government overreach, and Second Amendment rights.
