In the third 2013 installment of the Broad Institute's Midsummer Nights' Science, computational biologist and Broad associate member Manolis Kellis explores how mapping the human genome is revolutionizing our understanding of disease. By mapping how genes and regulatory regions interact across many cell types, scientists are gaining new insights on human biology. In this presentation, Kellis explains how the Broad is using these high-resolution maps to expose the mechanism of disease, and find potential new drug targets.
