An intellectually disabled man was put to death in Georgia's first execution in over 4 years. Despite having an IQ of 68, Willie James Pye was still executed by lethal injection Wednesday for the 1993 killing of Alicia Lynn Yarbrough. Pye’s legal team filed a final appeal but it was denied by the U.S. Supreme Court.
