Six months of Israel’s war on Gaza has left much of the area reduced to rubble with its largest hospital inoperable. Al-Shifa Hospital has been raided by Israeli forces multiple times, and a two-week siege in March was the latest.
The World Health Organization declared this month that the Gaza City hospital is now “an empty shell” and “completely non-functional”.
