The 2-1 ruling by the Eleventh Circuit in Miami indicates the suit, claiming the program violates the 1866 Civil Rights Act, will likely succeed. The lawsuit, led by conservative activist Edward Blum, is part of a broader effort against corporate diversity initiatives. Blum previously led the case that ended affirmative action in college admissions.
