Moderated by Perry “Vision” DiGilio, the panel features Yolo Akili Robinson (BEAM), Marc Lamont Hill, Candace Gibson, and Van Lathan Jr., who speak with raw honesty about their own experiences, the culture of silence, and the urgent need to reframe Black masculinity. Grounded in Black feminist principles and introduced by the Me Too Movement, the event highlights the new PSA “The Barbershop,” which challenges generational myths about manhood, survival, and abuse. Together, this dialogue calls for creating safe spaces where Black men and boys are seen, believed, and supported as survivors, not just as stereotypes.
