This is an excerpt from the latest NIGHT SCHOOL episode.
Martin Bally, the company’s chief information security officer, was secretly recorded in a 75-minute rant. The tape names him mocking Campbell’s own food as “shit for poor people,” using racist slurs about Indian colleagues, and bragging about weird stuff like “3-D printed” meat. The recorder, cybersecurity analyst Robert Garza, took the tape to HR, and says he got fired days later. Now there’s a lawsuit saying Campbell retaliated and created a hostile work place.
Marc Lamont Hill calls out the racism, the corporate coverup risk, and why we should care as consumers and voters. He frames whistleblowing as a public good, not tattling, and asks why Campbell didn’t act faster to fix this.
