YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHis tank destroyed, his unit cut off, in March 1945 one British soldier went berserk, single-handedly using his tank's Browning .30 cal machine gun, fired from the hip, to stop an attack by a regiment of the 15th Panzergrenadier Division. This is the unbelievable story of Edward Charlton, a 24-year old Sherman tank driver in the Irish Guards.
Special thanks to Lieutenant-Colonel Ben Irwin-Clark, Commanding Officer, 1st Battalion, Irish Guards and to Major Bryn Reeves, Lieutenant Charlie West and Irish Guards archivist Bill Green for their kind assistance.
