We Talk About How Her Dad Founded SHERATON Hotels During The Great Depression, In One of The Greatest Conversations I’ve Had, In Elevating Beyond Podcast History, With Guest Mitzi Perdue!
Mitzi Also Shares The Story Behind The Story of her late husband, Frank Perdue, starting with no employees yet employed 20,000 at the time of his death, building a multi billion dollar company.
How They Built The Legacy of Perdue Farms, Which Now Grosses Over 6 Billion Dollars A Year, & Has Prospered For Over 100 Years!
“My Husband, Frank Perdue, started with Perdue Farms, he was one of 5000 farmers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Using marketing, he catapulted his company into the top tiers of agri-buisness, and in a good year, we sell to 50 different countries. I can talk about how a shy country boy became an international marketing icon.
During the Great Depression, my father and my uncle co-founded the Sheraton Hotel Chain. It was a time when people were discouraged and were running away from real estate. Father had a secret sauce, a timeless secret for creating success no matter how bad the economy. By the time of his death, he employed 20,000 people and owned 400 Sheraton Hotels.
Your audience may enjoy some of his extraordinary techniques. You won’t read about them in business books or study them in business schools.
I can share stories that only a daughter might know. And as a daughter, I was forever asking him why he made his decisions to do this or that.”
