It looks like the Apache AH-64E attack helicopter may be taking over the realm of close air support for the Australian Army and its now used Tiger attack helicopter.
Boeing has outlined key selling points for its AH-64E Apache offering in Australia’s Project Land 4503 requirement for 29 armed reconnaissance helicopters. The government is on the cusp of spending $4.5 billion to buy 29 American-made Apache gunship helicopters – a deal which would cost hundreds of highly skills jobs including many in Queensland.
