20th Independent Field Battery deploys to Waterton National Park to conduct a challenging 28km hike to the top of Vimy Peak mountain.
Vimy Peak is a 2,385-metre (7,825-foot) summit located in Waterton Lakes National Park, in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, Canada. It is situated along the east shore of Waterton Lake on the opposite side from Waterton Park townsite. Its nearest higher peak is Arras Peak, 3.1 km (1.9 mi) to the southeast. Vimy Peak anchors the northern end of Vimy Ridge, which stretches three kilometres to Arras Peak anchoring the southern end.
This was in celebration of Ubique 150- The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery (RCA) Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Establishment of A & B Batteries.
